THE NADEEN SCHOOL
- OUTSTANDING ACCREDITED SCHOOL
About The School : An Introduction
Nadeen School, established in 1978, is an Outstanding-rated Early Years and Primary School with a growing secondary school department. We are a child-centred, inclusive and diverse family with a shared love of learning. Our mission is to provide a caring, nurturing and empowering environment in which all children can learn and thrive.
Our children and team have the skills and mindset to:
- Think, Explore and Grow.
- Celebrate and respect ourselves and the people around us.
- Have a positive impact on the world.
We have expanded during the 2022/23 school year by adding Year 7 and also moving to a new purpose-built through-school campus. We will eventually be an all-through international school from 3-18 years old.
Our school has always been a holistic, child-centred, emotionally-driven school with a strong focus on academic and pastoral development. This means that we focus on and develop all aspects of the child and treat each aspect with equal importance.
We want our children to grow and develop their emotional, creative, social, imaginative, spiritual and physical sides as well as their academic and intellectual sides. We also instill in our children the importance of finding their own identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connection to their community, the natural world and through encouraging personal and collective responsibility.
Our motto “Small School – Big Family” perfectly encapsulates our ethos and approach. Children attend the school from Nursery to Year 9 (Currently) and we have over 100 full time staff and additional support staff mainly from the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, America, and Canada. Our mix of nationalities and cultures makes us a truly international school with respect, tolerance, and appreciation of each other central to our beliefs.
School Overview
Our learning environment, both inside and outside, enables children to learn and play creatively and purposefully – in a range of settings, from our ever-popular tree house or mud-kitchen, to our creative play area, back garden, playground and climbing areas, role play areas and play houses, and design technology area.
We teach our children to develop a growth mindset by modelling and encouraging these five principles:
- Embrace challenge
- Persevere in the face of setbacks
- Effort is the only path to mastery
- Learn from your mistakes and from criticism
- Be inspired by and learn from the success of others
Nadeen School has moved to a new state-of-the-art building in the heart of Dilmunia – offering an outstanding British education to students from Nursery to Year 13.
Our new campus extends beyond a mere structure; it represents an opportunity to embrace bold thinkers during their formative years. It’s a fresh canvas for innovation, igniting passions and offering a learning experience that both celebrates and excites our students. This new space is an opportunity to cultivate a school community devoted to service beyond our physical boundaries.
Within this vibrant environment, various facilities contribute to a holistic educational experience. These include a Sports Hall, Football Pitch, Running Track, and Multi-use Outdoor Court, fostering physical activity. The campus also houses a Fitness Gym, Main and Learner Pools, providing spaces for health and recreation. Additionally, there’s a dedicated Staff and Parent Coffee Lounge, along with specialized areas like Music Studios, Ensemble Room, and subject-specific rooms for Science, ICT, Art, Nutrition, and more. This comprehensive setting acts as a catalyst for growth, learning, and community engagement.
