1. Examinations Officer

We are welcoming applications for an Examinations Officer to join us in June 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for managing the effective and efficient administration of external examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations on behalf of the JCQ member awarding bodies and/or awarding body rules for exams administration in a consistent and secure fashion, thereby helping to maintain the integrity of the assessment process
- Support the Head of centre in ensuring that the centre is compliant with the JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements in order to ensure the security and integrity of the examinations/assessments at all times
- Act on behalf of, and be the main point of contact for, the centre in matters relating to the general administration of awarding body examinations and assessments
- Closely liaise with key stakeholders (external and internal) to ensure exams administration processes are strictly followed and key deadlines met
- Ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with the regulations
- Ensure that ethical approach is taken and proactively work to avoid malpractice among students and staff, supports the head of centre in taking all reasonable steps to prevent the occurrence of any malpractice/maladministration before, during the course of and after examinations have taken place
- Liaise with all staff, specifically heads of department, regarding entries
- Disseminate information, answering enquiries and dealing with complaints regarding external examinations with staff, students and parents
- Submit entries for external examinations to awarding bodies in advance of deadlines
- Organise SEN provision, including liaising with the SEN coordinator regarding candidates with SEN; applying to awarding bodies for special arrangements for such candidates
- Manage the daily running of external examinations. This will include ensuring that all required materials are in the examination rooms for the start of the examinations and arrangements for candidates with special educational needs are in place
- Organise exam materials, providing safe custody of and organising examination stationery and materials, including question papers, in accordance with regulations.
- Ministry of Education liaison for attestation of student documents and Tawjihi process
- Administration of vocational qualifications at the centre including registration, entry of grades and certification.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Graduate of any Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience as Exams Officer
- Is confident in the use of IT
- Excellent Microsoft skills
- Experience working with Google apps for education is preferred
- Familiarity with the Exam body

6. Head of Instrumental Music
The Music Department is a thriving and ambitious part of the school, overseen by the Deputy Head Whole School and managed by the Director of Music. The Music Department also includes a Lead Teacher of Music, five academic music teachers, two full-time instrumental tutors, and a team of visiting instrumental tutors. The department encourages both students and teachers to actively engage in music within the classroom and the wider school community.
We are seeking an outstanding and experienced Head of Instrumental Music for August 2025. The successful candidate will be an accomplished instrumental musician capable of tutoring piano students from beginner to Diploma level. Piano accompaniment is an essential part of this role. Experience in managing student enrollments in performance exams (Trinity College London and ABRSM) would be advantageous

- Coordinate the termly Beginners Concerts and Tuneful Tuesdays in collaboration with the Director of Music.
- Jointly run the weekly Live Lounge sessions with the Director of Music in order to showcase the instrumental students and build student enrollment.
- Encourage students to set goals and explore diverse repertoire.
- Lead and oversee a team of instrumental music tutors.
- Serve as the primary contact for parents regarding instrumental and vocal lessons.
- Expand the instrumental programme by increasing student enrolment and introducing new ensemble opportunities.
- Support and mentor peripatetic tutors, providing feedback and training as needed. Implementing feedback from the Trinity College examiners will feature in this feedback for improvement.
- Collate and submit performance exams on the Trinity College Portal during the exam diets as agreed upon with the Director of Music.
- Organise and facilitate student performances, competitions, and masterclasses.
- Actively participate in musical performances alongside students and staff.
- Organise instrumental demonstrations to maintain student engagement.
- Foster ensemble participation and establish new ensembles as needed.
- Liaise with Head of Academies on peripatetic tutor payroll.
- Manage equipment inventory and ensure instrument care.
- Coordinate and facilitate ABRSM/Trinity examination entries.
- Work collaboratively with the Whole School Music Department, attending meetings, concerts, and performances.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
