About The School : An Introduction
The Canadian School Bahrain (CSB) is a certified BC Offshore school offering the internationally renowned British Columbia, Canada curriculum. Located in Diyar Al Muharraq, we opened in 2019.
As a school, we are dedicated to developing students who are confident in their culture, empowering them to achieve academic excellence through the nurturing of moral values; integrity, responsibility, respect and courage.
Our goal is to provide an excellent education with high academic standards through teaching the BC Curriculum. At CSB, we teach our children to use their inquiring minds, to learn from experiences and to apply the learning to their everyday lives. We teach children “how to learn”, with the ultimate aim of educating for academic growth through an integrated curriculum by attending to the social, emotional and physical needs of each student.
We are extremely proud of our blended curriculum where the highest standards of academic excellence held through the British Columbia, Canada curriculum in addition to the Ministry of Education of Bahrain approved Arabic language studies, Islamic studies, and Bahraini Social studies and citizenship.
Academic Overview
The Canadian School Preschool Program, nurtures literacy and numeracy skills through hands-on activities in English and Arabic. From Nursery, students engage in role-playing, delve into cultural values, and establish a foundation of virtues. Well-equipped classrooms encourage creativity, introduce Physical Education, and emphasize health practices, instilling Personal Values, Intellectual Curiosity, Confidence, and Leadership for lifelong learning.
Elementary, guided by the BC curriculum, explores identity and family, progressing to global citizenship. English instruction emphasizes reading, writing, and thematic integration in Arabic and BC classes. Competitions, public speaking, and technology integration prepare students comprehensively for the future.
Middle School, Grades 5 to 8, offers a safe, gender-segregated environment. Core learning in Literacy and Numeracy fosters critical and creative thinking. Applied learning in technology, arts, entrepreneurial design, and physical education contributes to personal and academic excellence.
In High School, from Grade 9, students transition to the BC Graduation Program, fostering critical thinkers through curiosity, risk-taking, and interdisciplinary connections. Community outreach, BC Career Life program, and exposure to cutting-edge technology prepare students for a confident and entrepreneurial future.
CSB’s facilities create a dynamic environment for holistic development, featuring the Equestrian Centre, Aquatic Centre, Padel Courts, versatile Multipurpose and Sports Halls, Learning Commons, grass fields, and specialized labs. This comprehensive educational ecosystem ensures a well-rounded and enriching experience.
