1. Executive Assistant to the Principal

As the Executive Assistant, you will be the Principal’s right-hand person, providing high-level, confidential support and ensuring the smooth and efficient management of their responsibilities. You will be an indispensable colleague, enabling the Principal to focus on strategic leadership, foster a positive and engaging school culture, and drive the overall advancement of St Christopher’s. This role is central to the operational effectiveness of the school, requiring a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can handle a diverse range of responsibilities with confidence and discretion.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised, resourceful, and proactive individual with a genuine passion for education and a commitment to excellence. You will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Discretion, confidentiality, and a calm demeanour under pressure are essential attributes. You will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, capable of working autonomously and taking initiative to improve processes and enhance the efficiency of the Principal’s office.

  • Start Date: TBC
  • Location: Saar/New Senior School
  • Hours: 07:30 – 15:30 (plus attendance at board meetings out of hours)
  • Contract Type: Local hire, no benefits.  

To Succeed in this Role, you will have:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably in an educational setting, supporting a senior leader.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to create professional documents and presentations.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, foster collaboration, and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a demanding and evolving environment, with a willingness to embrace new challenges and responsibilities.

2. Accountant

We are seeking to recruit a hard working, enthusiastic, professional and organised person to join our Accounts Team. The successful candidate will support the smooth running of all aspects of the School’s Accounts function using thorough working knowledge of accounting disciplines such as financial accounting and audit control procedures, management reporting and budget preparation. The post holder must be a qualified accountant, ACCA/ CIMA/ CPA or equivalent. 

  • Start Date: 01 July 2025
  • Location: Saar
  • Contract Type: Local hire, non term-time only position.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Qualified accountant, ACCA/ CIMA/ CPA or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS
  • Analytical approach to problem solving
  • A proven ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Excellent English – both spoken and written.
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to adults and children.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.

3. School Nurse - Primary School

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Nurse to provide on-site medical care for students, staff and visitors at school. This will include identifying the early health needs and providing early intervention to prevent issues escalating. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site medical care for students, staff and visitors to St Christopher’s. The ability to work well within a team is essential along with having excellent interpersonal skills.

Please note before applying for the role of School Nurse, you must be a fully qualified nurse registered with the NHRA (National Health Regulatory Authority, Bahrain). 

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Saar Campus
  • Hours: Sunday – Thursday 07.30 – 15.30 
  • Contract Type: Local hire, term-time only position.  

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: 

  • Previous nursing experience.
  • Current NHRA Licence.
  • A proven ability to work on their own initiative.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • Excellent English – both spoken and written.

4. Site Manager - Facilities

We are looking for an organised, professional and proactive Site Manager. The Site Manager is responsible for the effective management of the school facilities, to champion and manage health & safety awareness, best practice and promote a proactive safety culture.This role involves managing the maintenance team, and caretaking team, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting development projects to enhance school facilities. This role will include some out of hours responsibilities.

Applicants must be able to read, write and speak English to an extremely high standard.

  • Location: Isa Town and Saar Campuses
  • Contract Type: Full time, non term time only position

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: 

  • A proven track record in facilities management.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Excellent English – both spoken and written.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety regulations
  • An ability to work with a range of stakeholders including school leadership, external contactors, and internal teams. 
  • Experience in an educational setting or similar environment is highly desirable.
