The QES Way

At QES, education is more than just a pathway to qualifications; it’s a foundation for life. For over two decades, our school has stood for meaningful, values-driven learning that recognizes and encourages the individuality of every child.

From the age of three, children at QES are immersed in an environment where curiosity is nurtured, and ideas are explored with purpose. Through differentiated learning, peer collaboration, and self-directed study, students are consistently challenged to reach their full potential. Classrooms are warm and dynamic, where teachers are not just instructors but mentors, guides, and role models.

Whether on stage, in the labs, on the sports field, or through community projects, students learn what it means to lead, collaborate, and care.

This is the QES way, grounded in tradition, evolving with the future, and deeply committed to our students. As we move forward into our new home, we remain dedicated to the core values that have shaped us over the years. Our journey is one of continuous growth, and we invite you to walk with us as we inspire your child to be their best, both inside and outside the classroom.

Curriculum Overview

As a British International School, QES offers a Nursery to Year 13 British International curriculum accredited by the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Cambridge, and Pearson Edexcel, while also incorporating the Bahrain National Curriculum, as accredited by the Bahrain Ministry of Education.

Our curriculum is designed to foster critical thinking, enhance wellness, cultivate resilience and build empathy from the age of 3 years onwards.
Beyond the classroom, a diverse range of extracurricular opportunities allows students to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, express creativity, and engage meaningfully with their peers.

At QES, we believe real education comes from supporting each child to grow into the best version of themselves; in heart, mind, and character. Our inquiry-based learning approach combined with a strong emphasis on value-based education has helped our students prepare for the future with clarity and confidence.

Our teachers create a vibrant, stimulating environment, using modern methods and teaching philosophies.

Quality Education School offers Nursery to Year 13, British International Curriculum (Cambridge & Edexcel) accredited to International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE); simultaneously incorporating Bahrain National Curriculum for Arabic Language, Citizenship, Bahrain History and Geography as well as Islamic Studies.

QES Infant School

Infant School at QES (Ages 3 to 5 Years) is where our youngest learners begin their journey in spaces thoughtfully designed to meet their developmental needs. These early years mark the beginning of a child’s lifelong relationship with learning, and we approach this stage with care, purpose, and deep understanding.

Guided by the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, our Infant School programme is designed to support the unique development of every child across the seven key areas of learning.

The prime areas: Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social and Emotional Development, form the essential building blocks for future learning. These are closely supported by the specific areas: Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design.

At QES, learning in the early years is driven by play, exploration, and curiosity. Classrooms are intentionally set up to promote discovery, independence, and joyful learning. Through storytelling, sensory exploration, movement, music, and play, children build early concepts while strengthening communication and social confidence.

We place great importance on recognising and valuing each small step forward, knowing that these early milestones lay the groundwork for confident, curious, and resilient learners as they transition into Elementary School.

Areas Of Learning

QES Elementary School

At the Elementary School level (Ages 6 to 11 Years), students engage in a rich and dynamic curriculum built on the globally acclaimed British Curriculum Framework. This well-structured yet flexible approach ensures that children gain a solid foundation in core academic disciplines such as English, Mathematics, and Science, while also nurturing their understanding of the world through subjects such as Social Studies, Arabic, and Islamic Studies. The curriculum is further enriched by Citizenship Education, Life Skills, Computer Science, Art, and Physical Education, all of which contribute to shaping confident, curious, and well-rounded learners.

At this crucial stage of their development, students begin to explore subject-specific knowledge and skills that lay the groundwork for lifelong learning. Lessons are designed to be engaging and meaningful, fostering critical thinking, creativity, cultural appreciation, and emotional wellbeing.

Whether they are solving mathematical problems, expressing themselves through art, or discussing global and local communities, children are encouraged to make connections across disciplines and apply their learning to real-world contexts, ensuring they grow not just in knowledge, but in character and global awareness.

QES Middle School

At QES, Middle School (Ages 12 to 14 Years) represents a purposeful and carefully guided progression from the foundational years of Infant and Elementary education. Building upon the curiosity, creativity, and core subject understanding developed in the early years, students now step into a more structured phase of learning where academic depth, independent thinking, and personal growth become the focus.

Following the internationally benchmarked Cambridge Lower Secondary framework, the curriculum is designed to challenge students while nurturing their individual strengths.

Subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science become more rigorous and concept-driven, while disciplines like Social Studies, Arabic, and Islamic Studies help broaden their worldview and cultural awareness.

Students are encouraged to make interdisciplinary connections, conduct investigations, and develop real-world solutions, laying a strong foundation for analytical and problem-solving skills.

This phase also marks a significant stage in identity-building. Through leadership opportunities, collaborative projects, and reflective learning, students begin to discover their voice, take greater ownership of their academic journey, and grow in confidence and resilience.

It is a time where they not only deepen their subject mastery but also begin to understand who they are and the impact they can have on the world around them, preparing them for the challenges and possibilities of high school and beyond.
