The Philippine School (Bahrain) believes in excellence through wisdom. It seeks to establish that education plays a major role in the formation of man in order to achieve a quality life and a humane society. It further raises the functions of education as a dynamic process by which one seeks and enjoys the fullness of life with his or her fellow men; develops one’s talents in order to become a mature, responsible and effective member of the society and a partnership between the home and the school. Hence, PSB ensures a highly formative, supportive, and productive educational environment.

Philippine School (Bahrain) provides every learner an opportunity to be at his or her best in dealing with his or her student life. The school does not only facilitate learning and development; more so, it creates a conducive environment that will make learning more effective and enjoyable.

Consistent with its mission and vision, the school offers a wide range of opportunities for students to become competent, committed, creative, and compassionate individuals. It promotes student empowerment by encouraging, supporting, and facilitating activities that will cater to the diverse needs of its pupils and students.

ACADEMIC OVERVIEW

The academic program at PSB is organized around the framework of the Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum (K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum). Lessons in the different subject areas follow continuum of knowledge, concepts, skills and values development from kindergarten to grade 12. 

Bahrain History is considered a learning area and is taught in all curriculum levels as prescribed by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of the Kingdom of Bahrain. It integrates Bahrain history, geography, culture, government and citizenship. Arabic Language and Islamic Studies are taught to students whose parents are Arab or Muslim. 

Consistent to the needs of 21 st Century learners, PSB integrates life skills in all subject areas in the elementary grades particularly in EsP through the Life Skills Education Program (LSEP) which centers on development of emotional intelligence. The program complements the homeroom program designed for all grade levels.

It uses a curriculum prescribed by the Philippine Department of Education and approved by the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
