Academia Preschool Bahrain offers a thoughtfully designed early years programme that celebrates creativity, curiosity, and purposeful learning. Catering to children from 6 months to 4 years, Academia Preschool delivers a British early years programme informed by the Reggio Emilia approach, blending innovation, philosophy, and guided exploration. Learning experiences are carefully planned to encourage discovery, collaboration, and independent thinking, while fostering a lifelong love for learning from an early age.
The preschool places equal importance on a child’s emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development, recognising that early growth is most effective when addressed holistically. Qualified international teachers, supported by classroom assistants, work closely with children to observe, document, and respond to individual interests and developmental needs.
Academia’s learning environment promotes continuous development across communication, creativity, problem-solving, and values-based learning. Children are encouraged to make choices, work collaboratively, and express ideas in meaningful ways. Supported by a structured activity calendar and clear long- and short-term learning goals, Academia Preschool ensures each child’s development is nurtured in a balanced and age-appropriate manner, laying strong foundations for future learning and personal growth.
At EtonHouse International school, your child will have access to a world class international education. We have partnered with Oxford University to deliver their international curriculum which follows the rigours framework of the British curriculum and the Key Stages with age appropriate subjects that are explored in greater depth with each age group.
EtonHouse provides an enriched programme in a carefully resourced environment that stimulates the learning development of children. Our Pre- School is 1-4 years old and our KG is 4-6 years old. Our curriculum is inspired by internationally best teaching practices from around the world. The teaching staff are British and highly qualified and experienced. We are an international school offering 2nd languages Arabic and French.
At EtonHouse, the child benefits from a learning environment that promotes the continuous development of their social, cognitive, emotional, physical and creative strengths. Children are offered a range of opportunities to explore values, broaden communication skills, collaborate, make personal choices, group problem solve, develop ideas and explore information.
Children’s learning and development, during the early years is supported by a framework of long and short term goals. These goals reflect the “whole” development of each individual child.
Campus Overview
EtonHouse offers a unique programme for children aged 15 months to 12 years within an international School environment.
In Reggio Emilia, they refer to the learning environment as the ‘third teacher’. At Eton House, our teachers pay great attention to the look and ‘feel’ of the classrooms (ambience) carefully organizing spaces for small and large group work.
We believe that children have a right to a respectful environment. Through careful choice of colour, natural materials and the use of natural light, we hope not only to build relationships between the indoor and outdoor learning spaces, but to ensure our classrooms are aesthetic as well as functional spaces. The outdoor playground has been designed specifically to ensure that children build deep relationships with the natural world.
We propose to include sensory gardens (scented planting areas; texture gardens and outdoor musical garden) as well as a children’s kitchen, or vegetable garden; water course, digging and construction areas. We have also imported a range of mobile climbing equipment, this can be used very flexibly and ensures our teachers can plan for a variety of different climbing and co-ordination challenges.
