Canadian School Bahrain (CSB) is a non-profit school, founded by the Kooheji Family. It is a foreign school offering a blended Arabic-English program from Nursery – Gr 12. It is accredited by the Ministry of Education in British Columbia, Canada and is the first certified BC Curriculum School in Bahrain. Canadian School Bahrain opened its doors in 2019 for Nursery to Grade 3 and is adding 1-2 grades each year until Grade 12 in 2026.

1. Experienced Classroom Teachers Required For Academic Year 2025 - 2026

We’re excited to announce an opportunity for An Experienced Classroom Teacher to join our dedicated team at Canadian School Bahrain. 

The Right Candidate will posses the following requirements :

Planning Requirements : 

  • To plan collaboratively with Subject and grade/subject team teachers and coordinators.
  • Planning based on student learning outcomes derived from the BC curriculum.
  • Plan assessment strategies throughout the planning process.
  • To plan according to a range of ability levels so that all students are challenged through differentiation.
  • To work in collaboration with educational support.

Teaching Requirements

  • To use a variety of teaching strategies.
  • To build on students ‘prior knowledge.
  • To use a variety of resources with an emphasis on meaningful technology implementation.
  • To involve students actively in their own learning.
  • To provide experiences in critical thinking, communication, and personal and social relationships.
  • To maintain constant awareness of the needs of second language learners.
  • To address the needs of students with different levels and types of ability through differentiation.
  • To promote student’s physical, mental, behavioral, and social development.
  • To work in collaboration with Educational support to enhance classroom learning.

Assessing Requirements

  • To use variety of assessment strategies (formative and summative).
  • To involve students and colleagues in the assessment process.
  • To involve students in shared reflection throughout each unit.
  • To involve students to see assessment as means of describing their learning.
  • To evaluate and identify students individual understanding before embarking on new learning.
  • To ensure that students are constantly provided feedback on their learning and development (through class work, homework, quizzes, assignment, coursework, lab) for next step of learning.
  • To ensure that students give feedback to teachers on their teaching strategies, for example student survey to help teachers reflect and modify their teaching strategies for further improvement.
  • To share the expected learning outcomes with students and parents to further improve learning;
  • To ensure that all assessment is valid, fair, reliable and practical.
  • To collect and record relevant assessment data for reporting purposes; this data should be used for further improving student’s learning.
  • To implement, review and reflect the assessment policies outlined in the BC curriculum.

  • To provide a safe learning environment.
  • To create a student-centered learning environment where students are actively engaged and challenged.
  • To ensure that students are engaged and their accomplishments area recognized and celebrated.
  • To ensure that students work is effectively displayed to create a stimulating environment and extended student’s learning.
  • To ensure that rules and routines, mutually agreed upon by teacher and students, contribute to a positive and healthy environment that enhances consistent behavior and learning.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor of Education
  • Teachers must be eligible to apply and meet the requirements for a British Columbia Teaching Certificate (Applications from Canadian provinces welcome)
  • Have a British Columbia teaching certificate or A teaching certificate from another Canadian province or Have a teaching certificate from a foreign English-speaking jurisdiction and meets the requirements of the British Columbia Teachers Regulation Branch (5-year undergraduate degree taken in English and a teaching certificate)
  • Energetic, creative, and have the fortitude to meet the challenges of a quickly growing school
