PAKISTAN URDU SCHOOL BAHRAIN

About The School

The Pakistan Urdu School was established in 1956 and is managed by its Board of Trustees. The medium of instruction is English for all classes.

In March 1956, the first Urdu School for the students of Indo-Pak origin was established in the Gulf. The school owes its existence to Mr. Ashraf S. Mohammadi, Mrs. Saleha Raheem, Mr. Haji Asghar Ali, Mr. Abdul Rasool Malik, Mr. Sayed Akber Ali, Dr. Mehitapwala and those in business and commercial community in Bahrain who provided monetary support in establishing the school.

The present strength of the school is over 2000 students and 200 staff members. This institution not only emphasizes on academic excellence but also on co-curricular and extracurricular activities. The School has a team of dedicated teachers under the supervision of the school management and able guidance of the Board of Trustees. The school emphasizes on academic grooming and moral upbringing of the students.

The school has separate classes for boys and girls. The school caters to the educational needs of all nationalities. We have 64.10 % Pakistani nationals, 30.22 % Bahrainis and 5.68 % students of other nationalities (Malaysian, Jordanian, Egyptian, Sri Lankan etc.) All these attributes make Pakistan Urdu School an ideal institution, an institution committed to the noble cause of imparting quality education on a non-profit basis and any surplus earned are reinvested on various developments of the school facilities.

School Academics

Children acquire skills and knowledge easily if we can make the surrounding stimulating and purposeful. A pivotal role of education lies in shaping the personality of a child into a healthy mind and happy soul, who is not only equipped with 21st century skills and the aptitude required for academic excellence but helping them face the challenges of life in a balanced and harmonious way. Therefore, we believe is that the system of education should work as a catalyst in making each child a balanced human being having his core strengths embedded in the learning experiences emanating from our rich socio-cultural roots in Bahrain.

Our eventual mission is to develop our pupils into “Self Directed Learners”, “Compassionate Leaders”, “Responsible and Useful Citizens”. In this pursuit of excellence, we appreciate if the parent fraternity continues to support the school in every aspect. we also laud the relentless efforts of our teachers for giving their unsurpassed efforts in bringing out the best in each child.

But we would exhort the students to be always modest, humble and disciplined, while being ready to expand the horizons of their knowledge and skills by dreaming big and working hard.

However over the years, the school has opened its door to all nationalities and the medium of instructions is English. The school strives to give Education, which is value for money.

As with any school, the learning experience can vary across classrooms, year groups, and teaching approaches. Bahrain Schools Guide strongly recommends that parents visit the school in person, speak directly with the academic and admissions teams, and observe the learning environment before making an enrolment decision. A school tour remains the most reliable way to understand teaching methods, student support systems, and day-to-day classroom engagement, ensuring the school is the right fit for your child’s individual needs.
