About The Nursery
First Steps Nursery is dedicated to providing a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where young children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to grow. With a strong focus on wellbeing and early development, the nursery is committed to creating a happy atmosphere that supports children during their most formative years.
Catering to children aged 1 to 3 years, First Steps Nursery offers a fun, themed curriculum designed to engage young learners through age-appropriate activities. Daily learning experiences include arts and crafts, early numeracy and literacy, storytelling, music, videos, and interactive games, all carefully planned to stimulate curiosity and enjoyment. Learning is delivered in both Arabic and English, supporting early language development and cultural awareness.
A key highlight of the nursery is its extensive outdoor space, featuring large shaded play areas that allow children to explore and play safely. Activities such as climbing, sliding, sand and water play, bike riding, and outdoor picnics contribute to physical development while encouraging confidence and social interaction.
The nursery’s well-rounded programme is designed to develop fine and gross motor skills, social skills, communication, and early understanding of the world around them. First Steps Nursery believes that children learn best in an environment where they feel happy and engaged. By combining play, care, and structured learning, the nursery prepares children socially and academically for a smooth transition into preschool and the next stage of their educational journey.

We have classes for children aged between 1 and 3 years, and provide a fun themed curriculum full of arts and crafts, numeracy, literacy, stories, videos and games. Our educational programmes are taught in both Arabic and English language.
Along with our extensive grounds offering large shaded safe play areas for running, climbing, sliding, sand play, water play, riding bikes & having picnics, we offer a well rounded educational programme, designed to build your child’s confidence, social skills, fine and gross motor skills as well as numeracy, literacy and knowledge of the world around us.
We believe that a happy, fun environment is the key motivation for children to thrive with their learning skills. Our goal is to provide your children with a social and academic education, that ensures they are ready for their entrance to their future schools, when leaving us and graduating to the next step of their educational journey.
FACILITIES OVERVIEW
We have a large selection of books in our library, which allows your children to relax and have story time with their friends and teacher, or they can pick their own books to look at and go through individually with the help of their teacher.
All meals are taken in our dining room. This allows the children to sit at a table with their friends and develop skills of feeding themselves and enhance their social skills. Meals need to be ordered on a monthly basis. All meals are supplied by Fine Foods. They are made of healthy ingredients, and are kept at the correct temperature until given to your child. Please ensure you inform us of any food allergies your child might have so that we can order specially prepared food suitable for your child.
With our large gardens we provide separately gated play areas that are all shaded. We have a large sand pit filled with beach sand for digging and building sand castles, a play area with thick safety rubber tiles for climbing, sliding, ride-on toys, rocking toys and play houses, and numerous imitation grass areas for running, sitting and having picnics. All outside play areas have be safety proofed with padding to wall corners, metal supports, safety fences and gates and on sun shade support posts.
The play areas are all monitored by CCTV, and having the safety gates means that we can confine groups of children to one area at a time for close safe monitoring. Our play areas are designed for maximum safety for your child to interact with their friends and develop social skills along with gross motor skills through play.
