About The Center : An Introduction

Little Village Clinic provides individual therapy sessions for children ages 2yrs – 13 years. Students are assessed and an Individual Education Plan is set out. Individual therapy sessions ensure that measurable progress is made. 

Our Early Intervention Program is designed for children ages 5 and under who present with delayed communication skills. Children are part of a classroom environment, but receive individual therapy sessions.

Little Village early years class is for children ages 18m – 4 years and aims to provide a structured and stimulating learning environment. 

Our bilingual program run by qualified early years teachers gives your child the opportunity to be a hands on learner and explore the world around them. We believe that a child’s early years experiences are the building blocks of their future success. 

Little Village KG1 class is for children ages 4-5years and aims to provide a structured and stimulating learning environment that focuses on KG 1 Key Academic Concepts. The program is run by qualified early years teachers and follows the Doodle Town Curriculum.

Program Overview At Little Village Center

The Early Years Program & KG1 Classes is supervised by qualified Speech & Language Therapists to ensure that your child’s communication skills are developing appropriately.  Students will receive weekly Speech & Language therapy, Behaviour Therapy and Academic Support (twice a week for each).

Student will be assessed and an Individual Education Plan will be created to identify specific objectives for the therapists to target.  Student’s IEP’s are reviewed monthly to ensure that they are up to date and specific to the child’s needs. Parent’s will receive daily updates via the LVC application which will include pictures and video’s of what’s happening in class and Therapy sessions.

Little Village believes in the important of routines on how structures routines will help children become independent learners and discoverers. Our daily routine consists of both child led as well as adult led learning opportunities to ensure that our students get the opportunity to develop in the following areas:

  • Social Emotional Development.
  • Physical Development.
  • Language Skills.
  • Cognitive Skills.
  • Literacy Skills.
  • Numeracy Skills.

Our Individual Intervention Program is an intensive program for children with moderate to sever communication difficulties. Each student is formally assessed and receives an Individual Education Plan (IEP) that outlines areas for development. 

Students receive intensive individual therapy sessions (Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language, Behaviour, Academic Support and Sensory Integration). IEP’s are shared and reviewed monthly to ensure progress.

What does this mean for your child?
You will be given a time block to select from in the morning where your child will be at the center for 2 and a half hours where they will receive:

Speech Therapy
Physiotherapy OR Occupational Therapy depending on their need
Academic support
Behavior Therapy

Parents will also be given the flexibility to choose how many days a week they wish to follow the program:
5 x a week Sunday to Thursday (BD450 per month)
3 x a week Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday (BD300 per month)

Time Slots available are: 8am – 10:30am |  11am – 1:30pm | 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Speech Therapy Services At Little Village Center

Speech & language therapists work to help children communicate effectively by assisting with the improvement of their verbal and non-verbal language skills. Our team of Speech and Language Therapists work with children who have:

  • Delayed or Disordered Language Development
  • Unclear Speech and Articulation Problems
  • Delayed Attention and Social Skill
  • Global Delay
  • Down Syndrome
  • Autism
  • Hearing Difficulties
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Communication Delays and Disorders

Our team of qualified Speech & Language Therapists will initially assess your child and put together an Individual Education Plan (IEP) outlining areas of development. Your child’s IEP will be reviewed monthly to ensure necessary progress takes place. Sessions are individually tailored based on the goals developed collaboratively by the parents and Speech & Language Therapist. Therapy is provided through fun and interactive activities and structured play session which in return will help your child feel relaxed, happy and motivated.

Therapy sessions are scheduled twice a week for a minimum of one month; this is done to ensure the continuity of therapy, hence supporting your child in reaching his goals. The duration of each session may be between 30 to 40 minutes depending on the nature of your child’s difficulties.

Individual Speech & Language Therapy Sessions take place on Mondays and Wednesday. Available times are: 3pm | 4pm & 5pm

Monthly Fees:
BD 120 (BD15 per session, for a total of 8 sessions per month)

The program is run by qualified early years teachers and follows the Little Village Curriculum. We believe that a child’s early years experiences are the building blocks of their future success. The program is also supervised by qualified Speech & Language Therapists to ensure that your child’s communication skills are developing appropriately.  

Students will receive weekly individual sessions of Speech & Language Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, Occupational therapy and Academic Support, Students will be assessed and an Individual Education Plan will be created to identify specific objectives for the therapists to target.  Student’s IEP’s are reviewed monthly to ensure that they are up to date and specific to the child’s needs.
