ABOUT THE SCHOOL : An Introduction
New Millennium School (NMS-DPS) Bahrain is run under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society. Affiliated to the CBSE, the school aims at an all-round development of student’s personality so as to enable them to be future leaders. The school has strength of approximately 1746 and is divided into the Junior, Middle and Senior Wings.
At NMS are committed to nurturing responsible global citizens. We believe that education not only encompasses academics but also values and life skills. We nurture in our children diligence, sincerity and passion for lifelong learning. We are committed to instill 21st century learning skills in our children and prepare them to leave their imprints on the Global diaspora.
Our laurels that set us apart include: We are the only CBSE (Indian curriculum) school in the Kingdom of Bahrain adjudged ‘GOOD’ by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) in 2016. The school has also been honored with the silver BQA seal in recognition of its high standards of learning process. We are the only CBSE school selected for presentation of Action research paper on Flip learning at the 6th BQA Forum. Only CBSE school conferred with Award for Best Digital Transformation in education in a formal ceremony titled SMB-Smart Summit and Awards 2020.
Our school ideology is well defined that ensures over all development of every child with the aim of preparing global citizens. We believe in connecting learning to daily life experiences of the child and we are committed to making learning experiential and pragmatic for our children. We practice flip learning and are committed to creating a generation of independent learners and researchers.
Academic Overview
We at NMS lay strong emphasis on creating leaders for the future and we accomplish our vision by challenging and engaging our children in activities that showcase their talents on the global platforms. To give further impetus to our momentum of keeping ahead with changes in educational curriculum and the urge to be in sync with the global requisites we are introducing Robotics, AI club, STEAM lab, Language lab, Debate club and Readers club that will provide suitable platforms for our children and give them opportunities to shine on the Global arena.
We promote reading through NMS-Readathon. We nurture environmental sensitivity through Earth hour activities and CURA project-which is entirely a student’s initiative. Our school garden spaces have been adopted by the students of different grades. Our children participate in campaigns and through this medium our children lend their voice to various social causes. We connect to society and lend our commitment to various pertinent social causes. Another hallmark is our theme based self-scripted assemblies by the students. Our students lend their voice on Radio NMS.
Our structured morning time activities ensures children start their day on a joyful note. We nurture responsible global citizens and take pride that our children are groomed to succeed in life with fine balance of EQ and IQ. We use digital technology intelligently, including adoption of ERP solutions, IYC modules, and implementation of school mobile app, Interactive classrooms and adoption of e-learning resources with optimal screen time. We nurture 21st century learning skills in our students and prepare them to excel on global platforms.
Besides academics, the school also offers a whole plethora of activities to hone the talents of the students. It has, a Basketball Court, Football Fields (for junior & senior players), an Athletic Track, Cricket Practice Pitch, Badminton Courts, Long Jump Pit. There are many activity clubs, to name a few – Public Speaking, Dramatics, Art and Craft, Computer, etc. Students have participated and won many Inter School competitions at the Inter School and International levels.
